Happy 98th Birthday
Our Parish community
would like to wish Mary (Mollie) Delahunty a Happy 98th
Birthday on Wednesday, May

Rosary: Month of May
During the month of May, parishioners are invited to pray the
Rosary as a family, privately, or twenty minutes before our
weekday Mass. Please take time to reverence Mary, the Mother of
God and our Spiritual Mother.
Knight of
Columbus
The Knights of
Columbus will be holding their regular monthly meeting
Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at St. Michael’s Hall.
Election of Officers for the coming year will take place at this
meeting and all members of the Knight’s of Columbus are
asked to please attend.
Student Jobs
St. Michael’s Parish
received a Student Grant which allows us to hire two students
for the summer months for eight weeks. The students must be
planning to attend a post-secondary institution on a full time
basis in the coming academic year. The Parish is now accepting
applications and they must be mailed or dropped off at the
Parish Office as the Student Jobs will begin June 23, 2008.
Mercy Associates
The next meeting of
the Original Group of Mercy Associates will take place
Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m. at the Sister’s
Residence.

Annual Archbishop’s Appeal
Thanks to the dedication and generosity of our parishioners we
serve 111,000 Catholics in 39 parishes and missions. Our
Archdiocesan programs, provided through our various offices and
committees, benefit every parish community. Administrative and
financial assistance is provided; liturgical information,
education sessions and resources are available; chaplaincy
services are provided; counseling services and family-oriented
programs help enrich all aspects of family life. All of the
programs come with a cost. We depend upon the proceeds from the
annual appeal to ensure that our dreams for the future of our
Church are realized.
Newfoundland Catholic Renewal
Healing Conference
Conference begins July 18-20, 2008 at the INCO Centre, Memorial
University. Guest speakers: Fr. Fernando Suarez, CC and Fr.
Jeff Shannon, CC. Seating is limited. Pre-registration is

Touch of Class Memorial Plates: Touch of Class is
selling Memorial Plates engraved with the name of a loved one.
These plates are mounted on our beautiful MEMORY TREE (painted
by artist Bill Whalen) in the Touch of Class foyer. Plates are

The Televised
Daily Mass
The Televised Daily Mass will be seen on Vision TV every Monday
– Friday 9:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
from St. Basil’s Church in Toronto.
