Thanks to the hard work of our many youth under the leadership of Tom Cole
who have done a great job cleaning our cemetery. The property is just
beautiful and we offer thanks to all who shared in the beautification of the
resting places of your loved ones. To all who removed old debris, especially
fences that were in poor condition, I say Thank You. Let us continue to care
for the property especially during the summer months. May our beloved dead,
rest in peace.
Family Day: Sunday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. : Parish Hall Grounds
Wow, it’s time already to organize our annual Family Day. It will be an
afternoon of fun and games with special treats for the kids. We will have
hot dogs, hamburgers and pop for all who gather. At this time, I invite
parishioners to help support the cause. We will accept school supplies for
the kids and toiletries of any kind. For example; we need exercises, pens,
pencils , crayons, coloring books, erasers, and all other supplies for
school. Also, you may wish to contribute tooth paste, tooth brushes, soap,
shampoo, etc. Please drop off your donation during the coming weeks at
church and this will help us know how much we have .
Please plan for Family Day being held at the Parish Hall Grounds, on Sunday,
August 27th : 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Flag Pole
During the coming week we will place a flag pole in front of our Church and
we will fly the Papal Flag (Vatican Flag), which is the official flag for
our Church. Also we will fly the various flags during other important events
such as Canada Day, Remembrance Day, Bell Island Day, etc. I sincerely thank
the Pendergast Family who kindly donated the flag pole and the cost incurred
for its installation. This donation is a major cost and is donated in loving
memory of our friend “Frankie”. It will be lowered at the times of all
funerals in our Parish.
