TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY
SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2004

Focus: Power and wealth can distract us from the real treasure which God offers to us.

Having nice things is a blessing from God, but they can too easily become distractions and pull our attention from the One who is the source of all good things. We do not want to become caught up in acquiring material goods and forget that these things are only temporary. Doing good will bring everlasting reward for our souls.

Home Religion Program
The religious education for our children is the sole responsibility of the parents / guardians. The role of the parish is to provide the religious materials and coordinate the families to participate in the program.
Children: Age 5 & 6 are invited to participate in the year 1 program.
Children: Age 7 or older can participate in the year 2 program which includes first Eucharist.
Children: Age 8 can participate in the year 3 program which includes First Penance.
Children: Age 9 or older can participate in the Confirmation Program.
Please note that these age groups are flexible. It is up to the parents/guardians to ask to have their child register for a particular program. This year the religion program will be completed at home and once per month we will meet with the parents/guardians to evaluate their progress.
