continued prayers and support during their time of grief. May our brothers
rest in peace.
Congratulations
Our parish extends sincere congratulations to Mrs. Vera Stone on her
recent award as one of the five heroes chosen for the award entitled:
Today's Parent for Kids Sake Award. As many of us are aware, Mrs Stone and
her husband cared for 200 children during their years as foster parents.
In this months magazine: Today's Parent, Mrs Stone has received praise and
the well deserved title: Hero. In acknowledgement of her service and care,
Mrs. Stone was awarded by the publication a gift of $3000.00 which she has
donated to the Boys and Girls Club in our town. Mr. and Mrs. Stone, you
are an inspiration and we are deeply inspired by your love and compassion.
Congratulations!

Healing Mass with Anointing For The Sick
On Wednesday, September 29th (The Feast of the Archangels) at 7:00pm - St.
Theresa's Church, there will be a mass with the anointing of the sick. The
anointing of the sick may be administered to the faithful who have the use
of reason and begin to fall into danger as a result of illness or old age.
Among those who may be anointed are those undergoing surgery, the elderly
if they become notably weakened even though no serious illness is present
and the sick, the chronic sick and sick children who have sufficient use
of reason.
Bring your sick and join us for this celebration of God's mercy and
Healing.
Home Religion Program
The religious education for our children is the sole responsibility of the
parents / guardians. The role of the parish is to provide the religious
materials and coordinate the families to participate in the program.
Children: Age 5 & 6 are invited to participate in the year 1 program.
Children: Age 7 or older can participate in the year 2 program which
includes first Eucharist.
Children: Age 8 can participate in the year 3 program which includes First
Penance.
Children: Age 9 or older can participate in the Confirmation Program.
Please note that these age groups are flexible. It is up to the
parents/guardians to ask to have their child register for a particular
program. This year the religion program will be completed at home and once
per month we will meet with the parents/guardians to evaluate their
progress. For further information, call Karen Seward 488 - 2560 or the
parish office 488-2525. Registration Forms are available at the parish
office or at the church. Please complete the form and submit a fee of
$10.00 so that the parish can purchase the materials required for each
child.
