ST. MICHAEL’S PARISH

Administrator: Fr. Wayne Dohey – Secretary: Jody Whalen

THIRTY-FIRST SUNDAY
October 31st, 2004

Focus: God's mercy is great indeed.

A prominent theme throughout the Gospels is forgiveness. Over and over Jesus tells those who come to him that their sins are forgiven. They may approach Jesus asking for physical healing, but go away made whole in both body and spirit. We need never fear to seek forgiveness; it is never denied to those who sincerely intend to do better.

Away in a Manger
The Basilica Museum Committee is now in the process of preparing their Christmas exhibit entitled "Away in A Manger." This exhibit will feature "Creche" or "Nativity scenes" from around the world and will be on exhibit in the Basilica Museum from November 27th till December 19th.
We have in our collection nativity scenes from many parts of the world, made of many different materials and various sizes. We are always looking for more. If you have a nativity set that is unique in some way, we would live to have it as part of our exhibit. Your nativity will be returned to you after the exhibit closes.
For more information or to discuss your nativity set, please call Larry or Cathy at 709-726-3660.

The tickets for the dinner are not selling fast like last year and so I ask for your support. You may purchase your ticket by calling Marg Murrin, Rose Kent Rosanne Grant or Patricia King. It is very important that we sell these tickets well in advance so that we can order the required amount of food. Please be generous and support our efforts. At the back of our church during the next two weekends, you may register your name if you wish to donate potatoes, carrot, turnip or rolls to help with the extra costs.
