THIRTY- SECOND SUNDAY
November 7th, 2004
Focus: Through Christ we have hope of resurrection.

The Christian hope of resurrection is more than a desire for survival beyond the grave. It is the knowledge that we will experience the embrace of a loving God. It holds the promise that all uncertainty will vanish and that sin and evil will be no more. For Christians, the enduring reality of our lives is eternal life in the presence of God.

Sincere thanks to all who contributed to the archdiocesan collection last weekend. The total collected thus far is : $265.00. If you have not contributed, you may do so during the coming week. The goal for our parish is $750.00. Please support the cause and help provide pastoral care to our hospitals. I invite you to take an envelope at the back of the church for the special collection and help support pastoral care for the diocese. Perhaps you will need the care of a clergy or pastoral worker at the hospital in the city. Please support this collection.

Fall Fair
Join in the celebrations of our annual Fall Fair on Monday , November 8th . Please be generous and support our craft sale, bake sale and dinners. The craft sale and baked goods will be on sale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be sufficient time to view the crafts and baked goods before the suppers are served. Also, at night we have our card game beginning at 8:30 p.m. with great prizes. Admission to card game is $5.00. See you at the hall.

Help Needed
If you are interested in helping prepare for the Fall Fair Dinners on Monday, please drop by the parish hall on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and assist with the peeling of the potatoes, and preparing all the other vegetables. Remembrance Day
Canadians pause today in silence to remember those who died in war and to pray for the victims of aggression and inhumanity throughout the world. This is a day to pray for peace, to consider what we are doing as individuals, as a community and as a nation to bring God's peace to the world. This is a day when the believing community should rededicate itself by prayer and action to the ideals Jesus gives us in the beatitudes. We give thanks to God for all who serve our country and promote world peace. May the continued work of the Legion remind us of how blest we are to live in such a generous and bountiful land called Canada. Please join us for the memorial service as we remember: 10:00am Church service at St. Michael's Parish Church with a Service at the Memorial Site, following Church.

November: Month of the Holy Souls
During the month of November we will place the Book of Remembrance at the entrance of our church and you are invited to record the name of your loved ones in the book and we will pray for them at our weekly masses. Please take time to pray for the dead and together remember the wonderful people who have influenced our lives.

Knights of Columbus Meeting
There will be a meeting for the Knights of Columbus on Thursday, November 18th at 8:00pm at the Parish Centre.
