Focus: Faith leads to confidence which then leads to courageous action.

When we give our lives over to faith in God, we possess hope and confidence. As Christians, we firmly believe in the promise of Jesus to return and bring about the fulfilment of the kingdom. Visitation of Sick/Shut In's
On Thursday, August 12th , I will visit the sick and the shut in's of the parish. I will be a little delayed in visiting because I am doing all the homes by myself since Sister is away.

Family Day
Welcome to our annual family day. The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. and all are welcome to join in the fun. I sincerely thank all who supported our cause especially Minister Dianne Whelan who donated $300.00 to the cause and to the Knights of Columbus of Corpus Christi Parish, St. John's who were also very generous to help make it a great success. Join in the fun at the parish hall. We have plenty of hot dogs, hamburgers and pop along with many prizes. To help make it even more attractive....It is all Free. See you at the hall. Bring the family and celebrate.

Thank You
Sincere thanks to all who improved the cemetery and Grotto site at Lance Cove. It is truly a wonderful sign of your care and reverence for the sacred places of prayer and memory in our town. To all who helped improve the property and to all who attended the cemetery mass, we say thanks.

Congratulations
Our parish extends a sincere thanks and best wishes to Mr. Jerome Delaney who will begin full time teaching at Memorial University in September. Mr. Delaney has provided excellent leadership in our school community for the past seven years and truly has enriched the lives of many. We salute Mr. Delaney for his untiring commitment to St. Michael's High and we offer him our gratitude and blessing as he embarks on a new venture of leadership in the education of our youth. I wish to thank Mr. Delaney for his support to me and his generosity to assist the parish in our time of need.
