SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT
MARCH 16, 2003

Focus: God calls us to become more like him.

The motivation of all lenten practices should be to bring about a permanent change toward greater holiness within ourselves. Our acts of fasting, prayer, and charity should be rooted in the great virtues of faith, hope, and love. Through God's grace and our personal efforts we can make positive spiritual changes in ourselves during these days before Easter.
