Administrator: Fr. Wayne Dohey – Secretary: Cindy Foley

SEVENTH SUNDAY
February 23, 2003

FOCUS: Place your life into God's care and be immersed in divine love.

It takes courage, strength of faith, and wisdom to recognize when we are on the wrong path or when our lives are lacking the holiness we should have as people of God. We must be vigilant in our resolve to be better people today than we were yesterday and place our complete trust in God's love for us.

Fire Upon The Earth
Brother J. B. Darcy has just written a book which tells the story of Bishop Fleming, the first bishop of Newfoundland. This book tells the story of his many struggles against the political establishments in Newfoundland and England. It focuses on the magnificent story of building the Basilica against incredible odds and at a cost of his own health. Proceeds of the book go the restoration of the Basilica. For more information, call 722 - 8500.

Sunday Offering
The regular Sunday collection is our main source of income for the parish. The past few weeks have seen less attendance at weekend mass due to poor weather. The unfortunate consequence is that our Sunday offering is much less and thus less income for the parish. If you cannot attend mass due to poor weather, please make your offering the following week. The past month have seen our parish having very high expenses and our financial standing has lessened. Please contribute generously to help your parish with the major monthly expenses.
