Non Sacramental Penitential Service
Lent is an appropriate time to confess our sins and this year we are asked
to celebrate the individual rite of reconciliation. Parishioners are
invited to gather on Sunday, April 6th at 7:00 p.m. as we express our
sorrow and pray for forgiveness. During this prayer service, we will offer
readings and prayers as we pray for God's forgiveness. Following the
service, you are invited to share in the individual rite of confession but
we cannot have general absolution. However, it may be a time to beg God
for forgiveness . If you do not wish to share in the individual rite of
confession, perhaps this prayer service may help us all to reflect on our
own need to turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel. As a common
act of sorrow , let us take time and pray the way of the cross.
Parish Web Page
Due to a very busy schedule of Mr. Reg Durdle, we have not managed to keep
current our many notices on our parish web page. However, be patient and
it will be updated very soon. Once again, I wish to remind all viewers of
our web page that the management of the information is completed through
the volunteer services of Mr. Durdle. He will update our information as
soon as his time permits.

Knights of Columbus /St. Michael's Parish Ticket Sweep
Ticket sales are progressing very well but it will only be a success if
all the tickets are returned. All parishioners are asked to ensure all
tickets are sold. Members of the Knights of Columbus are especially
encouraged to support their organization and help sell their tickets.
Please submit the ticket stub and money to John Kent. Fred Carroll, Pat
Craig, or the parish office as soon as possible. Do not leave it to the
last minute to sell your ticket. We have plenty of tickets available at
the parish.
Fire Fund
Our parish offers our support to the members of the Hutchings Family who
lost their home and belongings in a fire this past week. All parishioners
are asked to offer aid. Our parish will offer our full support and assist
with the needs of the family .
Please Return Chip of Wood
The Lenten season is passing by very quickly and we are preparing for the
Easter Celebrations. You are asked to return your chip of wood which you
received on Ash Wednesday and we will use it to prepare the cross for Good
Friday. Please place your wood in the basket provided at the entrances of
our church.
Solidarity Sunday
Today is the fifth Sunday of Lent- a day known as Solidarity Sunday. It is
a time to pray, reflect on the roots of our faith and respond to the call
of the Gospel to work for justice and peace in our world. The theme for
this year continues to be the same for the past three years: The Earth is
For All. We are reminded that the earth is not for us alone but it belongs
to God. As we express solidarity with people around the world , let us be
especially be conscious of our sisters and brothers in Africa who
struggle, hope , and actively work for a better life for themselves and
their families. Please give generously to the financial needs of our poor
as we celebrate Solidarity Sunday.
Flowers for Easter
This is the time of year when we place our orders for the supply of
flowers for the Easter season. If you wish to donate to the purchase of
these flowers in loving memory of your loved ones, please submit your
donation to the parish office along with the names of those you wish to
remember at the Easter liturgies. Thank you for your support.
