THIRTY-FIRST SUNDAY

NOVEMBER 3, 2002

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

FOCUS: Ordinary goodness is transformed into holiness through our lives of prayer and service.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus does not condemn the use of outward signs in religion, but teaches us that all human ceremonies, titles, and honors are to give glory to God’s authority from which they are derived. Those who are called by God to minister in the Church have a responsibility to develop a personal life marked by prayer, authentic doctrine, and service.
