SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT
DECEMBER 8, 2002

Focus: God's promise of a Savior brings words of comfort as well as the call to prepare.

In his love for humanity, God sent a messenger, John the Baptist, to announce the coming of the Messiah. John's words have a timeless value for Christians as we await the return of our Savior. As we receive his message today, we respond to it by celebrating the birth of our Lord and by preparing our lives for the Second Coming of Christ.
