BOSS HOME RELIGION PROGRAM: The next meeting for children and parents is scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 2014, after the 10 am Mass.

LENT AND GOING TO CONFESSION: - During the holy Season of Lent, the parish faithful are encouraged to seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) before the arrival of Easter. Fr. John will be available to hear confession at any time upon request. Also, during the weekdays of Lent, confessions will be available (at various times) in the church before the weekday Mass. Parishioners are asked to check the confessional box to see if the light is on first . . . this will confirm that the priest is present in the confessional.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATIONS: A big THANK YOU!!! to all who made this year's event so successful. Our proceeds to date amount to $2,360.00. To Patricia King for soliciting sponsors and preparing the St. Patrick's Day Booklet; to our performers; to those who donated stews, rolls and/or money; to our kitchen crew; to those who sold and/or bought tickets on our 50/50 Draw, suppers, & concert; and to all those who came from near and far to support us, our sincere Thank You! Without your presence, all our efforts would be in vain. May God Bless You All!

EASTER FLOWER DONATIONS: This is the time of year when we place our order for the supply of flowers for the Easter Season. If you wish to donate to the purchase of these flowers in loving memory of your loved ones, please submit your donation to the Parish Office or put it in an envelope and place it in the Church Collection with the names of those you wish to pray for at the Easter liturgies. Thank you for your continued support.

HOLY THURSDAY CELEBRATION: Anyone interested in participating in the Holy Week services by volunteering to have their feet washed on Holy Thursday, please contact the Parish Office at 488-2525 or Rosanne Grant at 488-2190. It is a very humbling experience but a very honourable one that is vital to our Easter Tridium Ceremonies.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS ON FRIDAYS DURING LENT: - During the holy Season of Lent, there will be Stations of the Cross following the daily Mass on Fridays. The Parish faithful are also encouraged to make a personal Way of the Cross in their hearts in preparation for Easter.

NOW AVAILABLE: “GRAND IN THE HAND” TICKETS: If you wish to purchase your "Grand In The Hand Ticket," tickets are NOW available after the weekend Masses in the back of the Church or at the Parish Office or by calling 488-2525.

AN EVENING WITH THE ARCHBISHOP - ANNUAL DINNER AND AUCTION: May 21st, 2014 @ the Holiday Inn. Actively seeking silent auction donations! All contributions most welcome. Housewares, art, gift certificates, knitted, crocheted or crafted goods, even re-gifts! Please drop off at your parish office or the Archdiocesan offices at the Basilica.
Actively seeking desserts for dessert auction! It doesn’t have to be fancy – although fancy works too. Please contact Maria Goodridge at grace1@nf.sympatico.ca. All proceeds from the Archbishop’s annual dinner help fund social justice and pastoral care programs of the Archdiocese.

Prayer for Christian Unity:

May all be one as you are, Father, in me, and I in you; may they be one is us; I in them and you in me, may they be completely one.  Lord, we who share in the sacraments of Christ ask you to renew the gift of holiness in your Church.  May all who glory in the name of Christians come to serve you in the unity of faith. Amen.

This is a picture of one of the beautiful stain glass windows at our church. The windows were originally part of  Sacred Heart Church in Lance Cove and were donated in memory of former parishioners. When Sacred Heart Church was torn down in the mid 1980's the windows were placed in St. Michael's Church. Pictures of some of these windows are used as decorative sidebars throughout this website.
