Grandfather was Peter Kennedy from Ireland and he had son Rudolph Kennedy (married to Mary Obrien), Mercedes Kennedy.. I know that Rudolph had sons named William Kennedy (married to Nell) and Blair Kennedy (married to Rita). My father was Nicholas Kennedy. He moved to NY just before WWII.
I have lost contact with my BI family... can anyone help me?

Great site - I actually found e-mail addresses of aunts and uncles who had moved away years ago who frequently visit this site. I grew up on Lance Cove Road, still have my family home there (only child of Gordon Lahey and Marie Dobbin).

I was born on Bell Island (and at time probably in our own little house on the West Mines)....I see the Ferry (crossing back and forth every day) from my living room window....I recognize many old acquaintances scanning through this site...and quite a few names bring back fond memories. Many of us attended St. Cecelia's school on the West Mines (with our little outhouses out back)...and also many of us attented the Immaculate Conception, while Sister Dorothy was ruling the roost........Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me...I know, for a tiny little Island,,,at the time we had it all (or at least we thought we did),..the Rink, the dances, Hueys, and the Princess Theatre.............xx
