REGULAR MEETING Present: Meeting started at 2:35pm LIGHTHOUSE A motion was made by Councillor Kent and seconded by Councillor Pitts that we would sign the agreement re the lighthouse which would see the lighthouse and the dwelling house relocated to safe ground, and then turned over to council for a five year term. Motion carried. It was stated that we should insure that as much land as possible will be obtained with the buildings and signed over to council. It was felt that with the renovations proposed to the lighthouse and the dwelling house completed our tourist industry should be enhanced greatly. INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pendergast and seconded by Councillor Pitts that we would apply for the following infrastructure projects under the 90/10 split with government: Priority 1 - paving of seven streets in the
town NORTH ATLANTIC Agreed that we hold a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, as the public consolation process re North Atlantic's application, and council's motion to amend the Municipal Plan to allow for the storage tanks. Page 2 SOPHIE MEYER'S HORSE A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pendergast
and seconded by Councillor Pitts that we seek legal advice regarding Ms.
Meyer's horse and the problems it is causing for DOGS Mr. Kent advised that our Animal Patrol Officer has stepped up patrols re roaming dogs and thus have picked up and impounded several in recent days. Agreed that he continue with such patrols. The meeting adjourned at 3:25pm on a motion by Councillor Pitts and seconded by Councillor Kent. Motion carried.
