As Mayor of the Town of Wabana, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you
to our town. Incorporated in 1950, Wabana is the largest of three
communities on Bell Island. Our Island was historically known for
it's iron ore mining industry, once the site of the world's largest
submarine mine.
Located just a short distance
from the Province's capital city, St. John's, our community
has much to offer. From our
breathtaking scenery, to our local craft shops, I
extend to you an invitation to come and explore our town and
experience our
traditional lifestyle.
